Century Palm played our last show on December 01 at The Smiling Buddha in Toronto. That show was also the "kick off" of my new project Don't Bother (see: dontbothermusic.bandcamp.com).

The thing is, Century Palm was unofficially over right after our tour to support the Meet You LP. I had been saying for a couple years that Century Palm would be my last band, and my initial response to the news that CP was coming to an end was that I was going to sell all my gear.

But who am I kidding? Inspired by the world falling apart, Rebecca Solnit's "Men Explain Things to Me" and a tweet from Plasmalab that said something about average dudes in post-punk bands, I set off to... make traditional garage rock?

This music was all recorded within about 10 days, and serves as the interstitial period between the stuff that I'm doing with Don't Bother and the end of Century Palm. This stuff doesn't fit anywhere, but I like a lot of these songs and may use them in other contexts down the line. Who knows.
