This was never really an album, more of a collection of songs that James and I worked on between 2005-2009, the transition between James Leroy and Ketamines. We wrote at least 100 songs in this period, and at one point were calling ourselves "The Steelie Dans" but we played zero shows in this timeframe, and I started going my own way with Endangered Ape, Myelin Sheaths, The Moby Dicks (etc) that were scratching the playing live itch. When Myelin Sheaths imploded in 2010 (a month after our LP came out), I immediately doubled down on putting together a live band to play these songs, and that was the transition to Ketamines (hear all those songs at ketamines.bandcamp.com). Even though our roots were in the hardcore scene, we really just wanted to make pop songs. Most of these songs are very rough demos.
